Jannet Shim, AGPCNP-C

Jannet Shim is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University. Her advanced training provided a strong clinical foundation rooted in evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

She began her career in internal medicine, where she developed a comprehensive approach to managing complex chronic conditions. However, her longstanding passion for cardiology ultimately shaped her professional focus.

During her graduate training, she completed a cardiology rotation under the mentorship of Dr. Douglas Murphy and worked closely with Amanda Carrol PA-C, gaining hands-on experience in the pre-operative evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing mitral valve surgery. This experience deepened her appreciation for the intricacies of cardiovascular care and reinforced her commitment to excellence in cardiac medicine.

She is known for her thorough, compassionate approach and for empowering patients through education, prevention strategies, and individualized treatment plans.

Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, discovering local culinary gems, and spending time on the golf course.
