Dr. Osman Ahmed was born in Sterling, IL and was raised in Peoria, IL.  His parents and two brothers reside in the area.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Bradley University in Peoria, IL.  He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica.

Dr. Ahmed completed his internship and residency training at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.  He then continued on to a cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT.  He also performed research in cardiac electrophysiology, with additional training at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology as well as the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute.

Dr. Ahmed is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Ahmed performs cardiac catheterization, nuclear stress testing, transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiography and consultations.

His clinical interests include preventative cardiology, lipid management, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.  He speaks locally at events such as “The Getting Older and Better Seminar” and the “Free Heart Health Seminar.”  Dr. Ahmed takes a special approach to patient care and has a personal touch with his patients.

His personal interests include spending free time with family and friends.  He often attends a wide variety of sporting and cultural events in the area.
