Dr. Jawahar Gazzala earned his medical degree at the Guntur Medical College,
India. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of
Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, he completed fellowships in Advanced
Heart Failure and Transplant at the prestigious Texas Heart Institute in General
Cardiology at the University of Texas at Houston.
Before joining Atlanta Heart
Specialists, Dr. Gazzala worked as a cardiologist for 3 years in Scottsboro,
Alabama. Dr. Gazzala was the recipient of DuPont/Fuentes Endowed Fellowship Award at the University of Texas at Houston, 2013-2014 and Physician of the Year 2016-2017, Highlands Hospital Scottsboro AL.
Dr. Gazzala is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine,
Echocardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.
His specific interests include Congestive Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, Atrial fibrillation and Coronary artery disease.
In his spare time, Dr. Gazzala enjoys yoga and all sports.
Dr. Gazzala joined Atlanta Heart Specialists with ten years of medical experience.
He welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
